A special message from Mathew Wallman, in the Lionbridge Waltham office about a very special event...

HELLO WORLD...if you are reading this you are lucky for two reasons. First, this is my first blog post ever. Second, I have some very important information to share.

Tomorrow, October 24, rain or shine Lionbridge team members from Waltham and Framingham will be taking the streets of Boston to help fight hunger in the CROP Walk. So far we have 11 team members walking and have collected over $900!

Why are we walking in the CROP Walk?  Hungry people in developing countries typically walk as much as six miles a day to get food, water, and fuel, and to take their goods to market. We walk to be in solidarity with their struggle for existence. We walk because they walk!

Where does the money go? Up to 25% of what a CROP Hunger Walk raises can assist food banks, pantries, community gardens, and other local hunger fighting initiatives. In the last 20 years, Walks have raised over $264 million to assist those struggling to feed their families.

With that being said, I believe it is important for individuals to get involved.
