Global Megatrends: Upcoming Lionbridge Webinar
I'm coming back to that now because Lionbridge will host a webinar with Dr. Singh on Thursday, February 18, and that's the topic. Specifically, the webinar is called, Global Megatrends: Convergence of Globalization, Internet and Innovation (click that title to view the full abstract on our site, and register if you like).
With the exception of "of" and "and" - every single word in that webinar title is intriguing, isn't it?
- Global: who isn't involved in something with a global impact these days? I bet you are, especially if you're reading this blog.
- Megatrends: even if you don't know yet what megatrends are, doesn't that word just scream "big important things we need to know about"?
- Globalization: again, if you're reading this blog, I don't have to sell you on this one.
- Internet: never a dull moment when it comes to the Internet. Well, except for 2:04am a week ago last Tuesday. If something happened right at that time moment, I missed it.
- Innovation: where would we be without it? And I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you that I ignored cash machines for a few months, and suddenly I see they no longer require envelopes for check deposits, and - get this - they take a picture of the check you deposit and show it to you on screen so you can verify stuff, as well as printing it on the ATM receipt, so you don't get the silent treatment from your husband when you can't remember what you deposited. I know this seems like an unrelated tangent, but just goes to show how cool innovation is, and plus I haven't blogged in a while and have all these little stories just waiting to come out.

- Learn about the trends and sub-trends collectively known as "Globalization Megatrends"
- Gain understanding of the role that web technologies are playing as an enabler of innovative collaboration
